Let’s tell you a little story…
A few years ago a band was playing a small German festival, called Obernair. After a really nice gig and a long night of partying they woke up in their tents, got out to stretch their bodies and than felt this huge hangover. A member of the festival-crew saw the group and walked upon them with a crate of beer in his hands. At the group he dropped the crate, opened some bottles to give to the group and said: Hier, du brauchst ein Reparierbierbier!
A little restraint the first zip of beer was taken, a few minutes later they all set in the big crew-tent, playing a game of Mensch ärgere Dich nicht(directly translated it would mean ‘man do not exasperate’, but in English the game is named Ludo) and having another Reparierbier. Obviously Reparierbier means Repair beer.
A year later our brewer Jeroen returned to the festival with his band, and a few more years followed, always ending up drinking a Reparierbier the morning after. One year, Erik was also present on the festival and the idea to brew a real Reparierbier was born. When the band played homage to the festival by writing a song calledRepa! it was irreversible; their had to come a Reparierbier.
